JAMAICA AIDS SUPPORT (JAS) launches its 2005 Poster and Calendar
The 2005 anti-stigma and discrimination poster and calendar features individuals who are service-users, children, contributors to JAS, volunteers, JAS staff members, representatives from other non-governmental organizations, youth, the international community, persons living with disabilities, the media, the performing arts, and education.
The careful selection was done in keeping with the JAS Mission Statement, which in part says:-
"JAS does not discriminate against persons because of colour, race, disability, gender, class, sexual orientation, age or religious belief"
Together, they all form a strong representative sample of all the persons served by or who are serving JAS and who are considered to be part of the extended JAS family. They have kindly consented to reinforce this year's message " Positive in Mind, positive in Spirit " reiterating the point that only with high levels of positive attitudes and behaviours can we triumph over the discrimination associated with HIV and AIDS.
